Election 2023: Active Member Place 7 Call for Candidates
Are you interested in serving as a Trustee on the COAERS Board? We are gearing up for the upcoming COAERS ActiveMember Election for Place 7 to be held in October 2023. The current term for Place 7 is set to expire at the end of December 2023, and the new four-year term begins January 2024 and ends December 2027.

The deadline to submit your completed candidate application is by or before
Friday, September 15, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time
Eligibility for Active Member Place 7
To be an eligible candidate, you must be an active member currently contributing to COAERS and not on a leave of absence. Please know that employees currently employed by Austin Energy and Austin Water cannot run in this election since these departments are currently represented by Trustees holding Places 8 and 9 on the COAERS Board of Trustees.

Candidate Training Workshop
A Candidates Training Workshop will be held on September 26, 2023. The workshop is an informational session for candidates to learn about Trustee duties and responsibilities. Candidates may withdraw their application after the session if they are unable to make the necessary commitments.
